We would love to hear from you if you are an experienced installer and sand and finisher or if you'd like to become a flooring apprentice.

 

Our ideal candidates are those who are not simply looking for a job but rather are focused on learning a craft and following a career in the flooring industry. We will assist our employees in becoming certified through the National Wood Flooring Association and other organizations in to grow their own skill set.

 

As part of Southern Oaks Flooring, our team members learn the entire floor installation and sanding and finishing processes. This includes how to take proper measurements, conduct a flooring inspection, subfloor inspection and preparation, using an edger and drum sander, applying stains and finishes, and all other details related to flooring installation. Training consists mainly of on-site work during our scheduled residential and commercial projects, but more formal certification training is provided through professional classes and workshops.
